V10 Plus skincare review

Hello,

In the previous post, I talked about my experience in attending V10 Plus workshop and how I enjoyed it. For me, if the workshop is fun, interesting and informative, I would usually not hesitate to buy their products, and so I came did a small haul. Before I go into my review, I thought it would be interesting to talk a little bit more on the products they have to offer. As it is a skincare brand, the range of products they have to offer are quite extensive.

While they have basic care like cleansers and moisturisers, what caught my interest and attention is definitely their serums. Not only they come in colourful bottles that represents different concerns, they come in 2 sizes as well! If you are someone like me, who loves trying new things, the 10ml bottles which retails for $59 each, are perfect for those who travel often too. The 30ml bottles which retails at $159 each are definitely worth your money.

If you would like to know what are different type of serums or other products they have to offer, head over to their website . Do not be overwhelmed by it as there is a skin counselling survey which you can take to find which serums suits you best.

Images taken from their websites

What I love about these serums is that you don't have to change your whole skincare routine! You can use these serums as a skin supplement to your current skincare routine. Easy! And they have serums for each skincare concerns like sensitive skin series, hydrating series, anti-aging series and many more.

And if you have more that one serums to combat your different skin problems, all you have to do is just mix one drop from each serum and apply! I feel like a scientist when I do that!

So what did I get?

My thoughts

I love it. It definitely makes my skin look brighter and smoother. Even my sister commented that my skin looks good and different! I love the colourful glass bottles and I do not have to change my skincare routine even though I have 4 new serums to add. I would definitely want to get more of the serums. FYI, the picture is not edited! No photoshop, no filter! LOVE LOVE!

V10 Plus Workshop at Japanese Association

Hello,

During the pageant, the finalists were invited to V10 Plus workshop over at Japanese Association to learn more about their skincare.

V10 Plus is from Japan and it is the world's first skin supplement concept.
It basically means that you can use V10 Plus serum inconjuction with your current skincare.

Mrs. Akiko Yokota, founder and CEO of V10 Plus is " Beautiful skin = Clean, Bright, glowing skin without any makeup."

We were privileged to get to meet Mrs. Akiko in person and her skin is the prove to the effectiveness of the serums!

The 10 points of the serums are:
•No paraben
•No artificial colour
•No mineral oil
•Ni chemical fragrance
•Water based
•Customised serums for 10 skin problems
•Dermatologist-tested
•Visible results in just 10 days
•Colour therapy fron colourful bottles
•Made in Japan

With their 5 key ingredients being:
- AC -2
- Soybean Extract
- Rose Centifolia
- Ruce Bran Extract
- Seaweed Extract

During the workshop, we get to test all their products from all the colourful bottles. We all got excited upon seeing how colourful the bottles are. While we learn more about the products, we were also given a skin analysis sheet to determine which serum/s we need for our skin.

At the end of the workshop, we were given an order form to purchase the products. While we eat and discuss away what we bought, I picked up 4 serums!

To know more about the different serums, look out for my review post soon!

Introducing the NEW Hada Labo SHA 'Light' Hydrating Lotion

Hello

Hada Labo Hydrating Lotion is not something new in the market. It is the bestselling hydrating lotion in Japan (1 sold every 2 seconds) and now, it is the bestselling hydrating lotion in Singapore too. In 2013, Hada Labo introduces the NEW  'Light' Hydrating Lotion. Specially formulated for those with oily and combination skin, it is lighter in texture and more refreshing.

Here's why:

My thoughts:

I was already in love with the original formula and now a formula for my skin type, what's not to love about it. My skin loves it, I love it! I don't just use this after cleansing, I use it any time of the day to 'freshen up' my skin when I have no makeup at all!

Would like to try this? Head over to Samplestore(dot)com to redeem your free sample of the 'Light' Hydrating Lotion.

My Skincare Routine.(Night)

Hello

This post will be my night time skin care routine. Check out my day time skincare routine here.

Night time routine overview

If you prefer to apply more products or heavier creams, I find that night time is the best time as you don't apply makeup so you don't have to worry about how much you already have on your face. Also, night time are the best to slather on your mask or special products while your skin "rest" and "recuperate".

Cleanser: Clinique Liquid Facial Soap Mild.
I have always been a fan of Clinique since my late teens. It never broke me out and keeps my skin flawless. The only time when I started to have breakouts was when I started getting more into makeup and trying new things so I stopped using Clinique products, which was a bad move! This cleanser does not dry up my skin but still makes my skin feel clean.

Toner: Clinique Clarifying Toner
This is more like a 'exfoliating toner' which claims to exfoliate dead skin before moisturiser. This does sting the skin if you just "popped' a pimple and can be a little drying if you are having pimples. However I like the concept of 'exfoliation' hence I only use it at night.

Toner: Etude House Wonder Pore Toner
Like I mentioned above, I don't mind putting on tons of products at night. Minimise the appearance of pores and control excess oil. Also deep cleanse my pores.

Essences: Loreal Youth Code Pre-Essence
A boosting essence to help boost your skincare by 2times. Apply before any treatment/serum. It is so lightweight that is absorbs immediately with no sticky residue!

SK-II Facial Treatment Essence
Containing more than 90% Pitera, a miracle water that combats all 5 dimensions of skin problems; Texture Refinement, Firmness Power, Wrinkle Resilience, Radiance Enhancement and Spots Control.

Eye Cream: Loreal White Perfect Micro-Vibration 3-in-1 Brightener
Anti-dark circles, Anti-spots & Anti-puffiness. What I like about this eye cream is the built in massager/vibrator. It gives you a relaxing feeling and also helps in better absorption of the eye cream.

Moisturiser: Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion
Not only its moisturising, it does not leave any sticky feeling and makes my skin feels smooth!

So there is my night time skincare routine. What's your favourite or must have skincare products?

My Skincare Routine (Day)

Hello

Skincare is very important. It not only helps to prep your skin for a better makeup application, it is also important to keep your skin in good condition so you can put lesser, more natural looking makeup.

Overview of my daytime skincare products

I am going to share my everyday daytime skincare routine. I admit that there are days when I just don't feel like putting on anything on my face at all. However, I try to be as religious as possible in my skincare routine, be it day or night routine. Skincare basics includes cleansing, toning and moisturizing. Even if you have oily skin like me, there are moisturizers that suits different skin types. Moisturizers that contains SPF are great for day time so you don't have to slap on sunscreen if you are indoors but be sure to add sunscreen with a higher SPF if you are going to be outdoors for a long period to protect you from that harmful rays!

Apart from those mentioned above, if you have a specific issue or skin condition, you can easily add serum/essence to your basic routine for that extra boost or special care to combat/treat that specific issue.

Last but not least, exfoliating! Exfoliate the dead skin at least once a week to get rid of all the product buildups. It allows new skin cells to surface, giving you a much smoother, healthier and brighter looking skin. It also allows better absorption of other products, making the products work more effectively!

So lets start with my cleanser and toner:

Cleanser: Garnier Sakura White Pinkish Radiance Gentle Cleansing Foam
Lathers well, smells amazing and brightens up my skin for that morning "glow'.

Toner: Etude House Wonder Pore Freshner

Garnier Sakura White Pinkish Radiance Essence Lotion
Lightweight and easily absorbs, this essence lotion not only smells amazing, it makes my skin look radiant and rosy. Just like Korean women's skin.

Moisturizer: Garnier Sakura White Pinkish Radiance Moisturizing cream SPF21/PA+++
Just like the other 2 products from this line, this smells amazing as well. What's great is that not only it contains SPF, it is not heavy or greasy even though it's a cream!

So there it is, my skincare routine for daytime. I keep everything light and as little as possible in the day so I can have more time in between each products to allow them to fully absorb in my skincare before putting on more.

Do keep a look out for my night time routine as different products are used.

New Skincare Regime (Long Post!!!)

I started a new skincare regime on the very 1st day of CNY..no longer using TBS products as i feel that its too creamy/oily for me.. Also i learn that using a softener after cleansing is much better that using a toner..y? Because toner are supposed to close your pores to prevent dirt from entering and retain moisture..so logically,y wld u want to close your pores even before u apply ur moisturisers/essence? Therefore i choose Aqualabel... Which needs no introduction..Y Aqualabel if u ask me?

Here's why:

Launched in Japan in 2006, AQUALABEL is a skincare range, specially developed by Shiseido Laboratories, for those who believe that "The lack of moisture is the root of all skin evils".AQUALABEL is a masstige skincare brand developed by Shiseido - Whitening Pioneer with over 100 years of experience and first in the market to formulate Hyaluronic Acid.

The brand adopts a "deep penetration" beauty concept, the first of its kind in the mass market, to ensure maximum effectiveness of beauty products. Embodied in its star performer, the Aqua Enhancer, AQUALABEL believes that this added step is essential for any skincare regime.

My Aqualabel products:

Since The Shiseido White Lucent Range is heavy on the pocket, i got The Aqualabel Whitening Range..y?

Here's why:

Key ingredients:

1) M-tranexamic Acid - A powerful whitening ingredient that is also used in the most powerful whitening serum, Shiseido White Lucent Intensive Spot Targeting Serum. Targets the root of pigmentation problems by inhibiting melanocytes from producing over-active melanin.
2) Saxifrage & Peony Extracts - Saxifrage disrupts the activity of tyrosinase, an enzyme that catalyses the production of melanin and other pigments by oxidation while Peony helps to exfoliate skin and prevent the build-up of excess dead skin cells and melanin on skin's surface.
3) Aqua Synergy
4) Moist Aqua Keeping Base

Breakdown of the products im using:

 AQUALABEL White Clear Foam (SGD16.90)

A gentle yet powerful cleanser that doesn't strip skin of moisture.
- Contains White Clay Powder to remove impurities without imposing undue burden on skin + Skin-friendly Granules that releases Hyaluronic Acid into skin when massaged onto face.

AQUALABEL White Up Lotion (SGD26.90)

A softener that infuses skin with moisture and brightens skin from within by removing dead skin cells and excess melanin

AQUALABEL Bright White Ex (SGD35.50)

An Intensive Spots Targeting Essence that targets the root of the problem by soothing skin inflammation found near spots and inhibits excessive melanin production with m-tranexamic acid.
- Infuses skin with moisture while promoting recuperation of skin damaged by UV exposure at the same time.

AQUALABEL Moist Essence GG (SGD29.90)

1 of the 4 essences under AQUALABEL's special care series, the Moist Essence GG (Glycerin) is a special treatment essence targeted at tightening/minimizing pores.

 AQUALABEL White Up Emulsion (SGD29.90)

An extremely lightweight moisturiser that prevents the development of spots and dullness and keeps skin thoroughly moisturised.

AQUALABEL Aqua Enhancer WT (SGD26.90)

*STAR PERFORMER*
A powerful "infusion" skincare step that powerfully forces moisture and essential ingredients into the deep layers of your skin so that they can be perfectly absorbed.

It might seem alot of product but some are meant for night use..

Recommended Day/Night Whitining Skincare Regime:
